The most famous Beagle is the cartoon dog “Snoopy” belonging to Charlie Brown and the name fits because Beagles are snoopy and very curious. Beagle is the smallest of the hound family and was originally bred for hunting. They are very intelligent and and active and do need some room to run and play. Beagles are short haired and compared to other breeds, do not shed as much. The only annoying trait is the do have a tendency to bark and howl. With the proper training and attention, their barking can be held to a minimum.
