When our pets are shedding their hair all over our homes we sometimes wonder if this could be a new way of decorating. After all, isn’t this why furniture is called furniture? Shedding has always been the nemesis of dog lovers, and it’s what keeps people with allergies from owning a dog. With all the unique tools on the market today to help keep our dogs’ coats healthy, shedding need not be a problem anymore. Dogs usually shed twice a year in the spring and fall. If they shed more than that, you should probably have them checked by your veterinarian.

There are many de-shedding combs and brushes available to help reduce the amount of hair that is drifting around your home and settling on your furniture. Also a great tool is the irobot roomba pet series vacuum. This little floor vacuum automatically vacuums up the pet hair for you.  It learns the pattern of your house and picks up all the loose hair your pet sheds.
