Boston Terriers are truly an all American Dog. They originated in Boston from an imported dog known as “Hopper’s Judge” following the Civil War. The Boston Terrier Breed came from a cross between an English Bulldog and a white English Terrier. They were officially named Boston Terrier in 1891 after the name of the city in which they originated.
Boston Terriers are intelligent and spirited dogs with a gentle disposition. Their coat is sleek and does not require a lot of maintenance. Their small size and loyal personality make them ideal companions for families.
