Boost your dog’s confidence
When training your new canine friend, you may find that it exhibits submissive behavior. It may roll over onto its back, or it may pee as a sign of submission. If your dog is like this, avoid standing over your dog or staring it in the eye. Scratching it under its chin will be better than petting the top of its head. The act of petting tends to push its head lower towards the ground which makes it feel inferior. If your dog looks like It may pee, look away and ignore it. NEVER scold your dog for its submissive behavior as it will make the condition worse. You should find activities that boost your dog’s confidence, such as socializing with other dogs or taking it for a walk. Always use a gentle touch and kind voice when your dog is in its submissive mode. Over time, the behavior should subside.
