Pets and children can suffer from our ignorance when it comes to medications. As it turns out, a popular hormone replacement spray called Evamist is easily transmitted via contact. This was discovered when spayed dogs were showing signs of heat. Both males and females developed swollen breasts and behavioral problems. Young girls can reach early puberty from long term exposure to the hormones. As with any medication, keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
